This will be very useful as I begin this process and will review it again and again, I am sure. A way to save my works and changes without creating so many other areas and places, this should become very helpful.Thanks.
Thank you very much for this tutorial. It will be extremely helpful as we begin this journey. I am truly looking forward to using this new system; this will be an adjustment to get used too, but a blessing at the same time. Thanks again.
The development of the dissertation page is a fine example of GCU commitment to doctoral learners. Its nice to have a forum for communication with the committee. You can also got to profile and send email to another desired account. You can add files, etc. More information is still needed, when will this happen? Is it optional? SAM SEGAL
Thank you Brittany for your explanation of this new tool to support the dissertation process. I tried to access my page through dc.gcu.edu/my.dashboard and I was not connected to the page and my new course did not have a section heading add ons under the resource tab. What am I doing incorrectly?
This looks like it should help me. I was not clear if I should be using this new system now, or wait until my content advisor has been approved, and I have the permission of my dissertaton chair.
How did you get started with it? I have tried, step-by-step of what the video said, and nothing is working for me. The website does not navigate me to where the video states, and once in LoudCloud, under my Resource dropbox there is no Add-on tab.
I think it is great there is a site for doctorial students and their committe, but this site seem like it may be tedious to navigate. Additionally, I am having difficulty accessing my LDP. I have spoken with tech support and that is how I got to this video, so I will review the video again and try to access my LDP. Nonetheless, I appreciate the effort in supporting learners.
After 2 months of trying to use this, I still cannot. I was able to get into my dashboard; however, I am still not able to use it as the video states. The roblem for me is in LC. When I go to Resources, there is no "add-on" option under that tab.
I would really love to be using this forum, but it just will not work for me. What am I supposed to do in the interim? Is there anyone else who is experiencing this or a similar problem?
In reviewing all the comments, it appears that this could be useful but not without complications. It is mandatory at this juncture for Dissertation 965; however, I'm still trying to get into the program. The 1 million dollar question is what are we to do the interim? My thought process is communication is underway and I am missing out due to non access.
This is an exciting innovation, even though it seems following the steps appears to be complicated..! However, for now, I am learning to get myself familiar with the Learner Dissertation Page, as I begin DIS-969-Research Continuation IV.
Thank you very much for this information. However, I tried to follow the directions as stated by the video but I was unsuccesful in retrieving the same screens as the instructor showed us. I was able to see my dashboard but as far as sending emails, and replying, I was not able to do so. Can somebody please help? Thank you.
There must be a difference in the school system and what the learners see because the page does not look the same. For instance, when I go to the dashboard I see nothing there but Forums and Folders and My spaces. Not like what they show on video here.
WELL CHANGE IS GOOD, BUT WHAT I SEE IS A BUNCH OF B******T, i KNOW THIS IS A SCHOOL OF PROFIT BUT SOME OF US DO NOT HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY TO BE JERKED AROUND LIKE THIS.
Hey Mike, I can understand your frustration but I offer you to contact Jeri Burns to assist you with this. Once you're in, I believe you will have a different perspective. I think it's quite useful; however, I believe measures could have been taken to make it more user friendly and less complicated to access for learners. Some of the instructions are not clear and concise; there are too many people who are not sure what to do with the system - some six-months in.
Good luck with this, hope I've made a difference for you.
Very good instructional video! But the first step in getting the updated version of a document that has been viewed is confusing to me. I have not been able to do it.
Hoping that this tutorial will be effective for retrieving additional insights from neigboring colleagues to make a successful transition to the proposal stage. Contacted technical support due to login technicalities. A technical representative provided a different, but similar link to gain access to the module. Prayer with works is alive!:)
Thanks so much for this tutorial. You finally cleared up the confusion I had about having only ONE document in the file, yet ALL VERSIONS of each document in their designated file.
This seemed contradictory, however, with your explanation showing each step, on the computer, I understand how it is supposed to work.
Thank you for this useful and much-needed development. I am still trying to get myself fully acquainted with the different operational rules and the roles and responsibilities between the learner, the chair and the other dissertation committee members when it comes to updating the LDP with the most recent versions of a document.
Are we now utilizing the Halo instead of LoudCloud? I attempted to gain entry into LoudCloud for this and was unsuccessful. However, after logging into Halo and clicking onto the Class Resource tab, some links connect directly to the DC network, library, LopeWrite, Prospectus Powerpoint slides and Supplement to Prospectus ppt (updated in January of 2021), GCU Doctoral textbooks, and information on how to find a Content Expert.

Thank you. I like it. Now just one place to go to see everything, versus having to do this with email. Thank you GCU.

That was an excellent presentation! Thank you!
I started using the page with my committee.

Call tech support. They had to add it By resetting my link. Use Loud Cloud support. it took about 3 days.

I think this is an excellent method of communication but It may take a while for the learner to become proficient. Thank you.
I do not undertsand why it is needed.

I cannot access this either. That is too bad. It looks like it could be a useful tool.

I have to review this over and over again before I can understand it.
Thank you for this tutorial. I will have to review it some more.
The tutorial was informative. I will have to review it again once I get to that point in the program.
This video was helpful. I will definitely use this video for reference throughout my journey. Thank you.
I have decided to publish my dissertation and need to do so this year. I used this video as a review.
I am not seeing the resources tab in loud cloud in the classroom page that provides access to the add-ons option.
